A tote for the everyday, with leather handles and a feature leather external pocket inspired by the unique conservatory roofs of the Barbican Estate.

Collection
The Barbican Series, a collaboration between architect-makers Isabel Vares and Michelle Wong. A collection of three tote bags, handcrafted in London taking inspiration from the shapes, forms and textures of the Barbican Estate. The totes are made with a natural untreated canvas and beautiful oak tanned leather, that contrast and complement each other at the same time.
About the Leather
This Cognac oak tanned leather is made in Devon, at J&FJ Bakers, the last remaining oak tannery in the UK. The tannery itself dates back to Roman times and uses traditional processes to create this luxury leather, that is known for its richness and durability. The oak tanning process is a long and natural one, taking 12-15 months, meaning each hide can take up to 2 years in total to create. It will patina into a beautiful brown colour once used and worn.
Personalisation
Default location of the monogram is on the handle of the tote.
